Applications are open for the IBA Karachi National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) Orientation in collaboration with OGDC for the Fall 2027 admission cycle. Financially deserving students from listed Pakistani districts who earned at least 80% in HSSC-I in 2026 can apply online until 15 December 2026. About the Program
The IBA NTHP 2027 orientation is a partnership between IBA Karachi and the Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC). It is designed for academically capable, financially deserving students from underserved districts who want to prepare for IBA Karachi’s undergraduate admission process.
This is an orientation and aptitude-test preparation program, not a degree. The official program page says the partnership has supported 37 students and disbursed PKR 120 million in scholarships across earlier collaborations.
Selected participants complete online classes and then may sit one round of the IBA undergraduate aptitude test for Fall 2027. A limited number of NTHP scholarships may later be awarded by the IBA Scholarship Committee to qualifying students.
Financial Benefits
- Three weeks of funded online aptitude-test preparation.
- Academic coaching, counselling, focused guidance and mock examinations.
- Exemption from the IBA undergraduate aptitude-test fee for one Fall 2027 admission round.
- Possible consideration for a limited number of NTHP scholarships after qualifying through the IBA aptitude test.
The orientation itself does not guarantee admission, financial aid or an NTHP scholarship. Scholarship selection is separate and remains subject to the committee’s decision.
Program Structure
The process begins with an online application and document screening. Eligible applicants are shortlisted, and selected students receive three weeks of online preparation from 15 February to 5 March 2027.
The program covers English, mathematics, aptitude-test preparation, academic coaching and mock assessments. After completing the orientation, candidates can apply for one relevant IBA aptitude-test round for Fall 2027.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all published requirements:
- be financially deserving;
- have at least 80% marks in HSSC-I from a recognized Pakistani board in 2026;
- hold the required academic and identity documents; and
