About the Program

GrEnFIn is an interdisciplinary Erasmus Mundus Joint Master that prepares specialists for the transition to a low-carbon economy. It combines engineering, quantitative methods, economics, finance and climate-related business analysis.

Students complete a 120-ECTS mobility program and receive multiple degrees from the University of Bologna, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and Paris Dauphine University after successful completion.

Financial Benefits

  • Up to 18 Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available across the three tracks.
  • Each scholarship is €1,400 gross per month for the funded study period.
  • The scholarship is intended to contribute to travel, visa, installation and subsistence costs.
  • Scholarship holders do not pay the self-funded student participation costs described in the call.

Recipients cannot receive another EU-funded scholarship for the same Erasmus Mundus course during the GrEnFIn study period. Selection follows one combined scholarship ranking and Erasmus Mundus geographical-balance rules.

Program Structure

Applicants choose one track only:

  • Renewable Technologies.
  • Environmental Finance.
  • Climate & Business.

Each track has its own semester mobility plan across Bologna, Munich and Paris or the relevant partner campus. The final phase includes a research project or internship. The program begins on 6 September 2027 after welcome week from 31 August to 3 September.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Hold a three-year bachelor’s degree or another first-cycle qualification recognized as suitable, or be on track to graduate by 23 July 2027.
