About the International Excellence Scholarships
Leeds uses academic achievement and the strength of the applicant’s wider profile to select international scholarship recipients. The undergraduate and master’s awards share the same three possible values, but they have separate applications, eligibility rules, and deadlines.
An offer for admission is required before a scholarship application can be submitted. The University emails eligible offer holders with instructions when the scholarship form is available. Students with offers for more than one course must submit a separate scholarship application for each course.
Financial Benefits
Successful applicants receive one of the following first-year tuition discounts:
- GBP 3,000
- GBP 6,000
- GBP 16,000
The award is applied only to first-year tuition fees. It cannot be used for accommodation, food, travel, visa costs, the UK immigration health surcharge, or other living expenses. Applicants need a separate plan for the remaining tuition and living costs.
Leeds permits combinations with some regional, school, faculty, or external scholarships, but total support cannot exceed 100 percent of tuition fees and each award’s terms still apply.
